Hemlock Society & Foundation of Florida

The Hemlock Society of Florida was pleased to present a free panel discussion covering the latest information regarding end-of-life issues facing patients in Florida. The discussion took place October 16, 2011 at the University Unitarian Church in Orlando. The event was free and open to the public. Topics discussed included choosing the time and place for a dignified death, end-of-life treatment and care options, legal issues regarding advance directives, engaging family members and how and when hospice can be of help.

Panel members included:

Dr. Sanjay Muttreja, Associate Medical Director at VITAS Innovative Hospice Care
Norma Conner, RN, UCF College of Nursing
Jorge Aguero, Palliative Care Chaplain with Florida Hospital.
Ben Wilcox, moderator, executive director of the Hemlock Society of Florida
